STATE POLICE NEW HAVEN URBAN VIOLENCE

TASK FORCE

  MAKES NARCOTICS ARRESTS

During the late evening hours on 01/22/2008 an ongoing investigation conducted by SNTF-New Haven Initiative concerning drug dealing within the city of New Haven led State Police & New Haven  Narcotics Investigators to the execution of a search and seizure warrant at a residence located at 4 Adam Clayton Powell Place, New Haven.   

Investigators seized from the residence: 9 bags of crack cocaine weighing 422.9 grams, 1 gram of marijuana and $1,001.00 in cash. 

The estimated street value of this drug seizure is $31,000.00

Three people were taken into custody during this operation. 

ARRESTED:  Vincent C. Jones D.O.B. 04-05-76   

                         71 Webster Street, New Haven

CHARGES:    Possession of Narcotics,

                         Possession of Narcotics With Intent To Sell 

                         Possession of Narcotics within 1500’ of a School 

                         Possession of Narcotics W.I.T.S. within 1500’ of a School

 

The accused is being held on $400,000 bond to appear GA#23 New Haven on 01/23/08

ARRESTED:  Jimisha R. Davis D.O.B. 07-30-80

ARRESTED:  Demetrius Hyman D.O.B. 06-01-81

         both of 4 Adam Clayton Powell Place, New Haven

CHARGES:  Possession of Narcotics

                       Possession of Narcotics With Intent To Sell

                       Possession of Narcotics within 1500’ of a School

                       Possession of Narcotics W.I.T.S. within 1500’ of a School

                       Possession of Marijuana

                       Possession of Marijuana within 1500’ of a School.

Both accused were held on $25,000 bond to appear in GA #23 New Haven on 01/23/08

This narcotics investigation improves the quality of life in this New Haven neighborhood.
