Fugitive from Justice Arrested in MA for Offenses in N.E. Connecticut

     On Monday, December 15, 2008, at approximately 12:25 pm, detectives from the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad arrested the accused Miguel A. Nieves of Southbridge, Massachusetts at the Dudley District Superior Court, Dudley, MA, where he was arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice. 

     Nieves waived extradition and was transported by State Police to Connecticut where he will face charges at the Danielson Superior Court on 12-16-08 related to domestic incidents.

At Troop D Barracks, Nieves was processed on an arrest warrant issued by the Danielson Superior Court. 

    

ACCUSED:  Miguel A. Nieves Sr.  DOB;10/03/73

                    10 Riverview Dr., Southbridge, MA

Charges:  Strangulation 2nd. Degree (53a-64bb)

                Unlawful Restraint 1st. Degree (53a-95)

                Reckless Endangerment 2nd. Degree (53a-64)

                Threatening 2nd. Degree (53a-62)

                Assault 3rd. Degree (53a-61) (2 counts)

   He was released on a $25,000.00 Surety Bond, pending arraignment in Danielson Superior court on 12-16-08.
