                                         FORMER PROSECUTOR ARRESTED

   State Police received a complaint on  February 2007 and initiated a criminal investigation into the possible theft of funds by a former state prosecutor. It was reported that the funds were taken from accounts affiliated with Superior Court and from accounts of the Connecticut Association of Prosecutors.

   An extensive criminal investigation was undertaken and was conducted by Detectives from the State Police Major Crime Squad and the Tolland State’s Attorney’s Office.  This investigation required the review of many documents and caused numerous witnesses to be interviewed. 

   As a result of the facts discovered during this criminal investigation 6 arrest warrant affidavits were submitted to the State’s Attorney at Superior Court in Tolland.  The court issued arrest warrants for the accused.

   The accused surrendered to State Police at State Police Troop-I Bethany where he was processed and released after posting a bond.

                     Larceny 1st    (2CT)

   The accused was released after posting $100,000 bond and will appear in Superior Court GA #9 in Middletown on 04/23/08 for arraignment.
