Bank Robbery in East Lyme

Location of Incident:  Citizens Bank 1 Flanders Road East Lyme, CT

Date of Incident: 05/22/08

     On 05/22/08 at approximately 2:10pm P.M. Troopers from Troop E in Montville and the East Lyme Resident Troopers Office and East Lyme Police responded to a reported bank robbery at the Citizens Bank, 1 Flanders Road East Lyme.

     The intiial investigative efforts determined that a light skin black male entered and robbed the bank. The suspect is described as 5’10” – 6’ tall, medium build with tan baseball hat, light colored coat, and approximately 40 years of age.

The suspect fled in a black colored SUV with out of state plates heading north on Chesterfield Road.

The suspect stole an undetermined amount of cash. There were no reported injuries.

Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded and are investigating.
