ARRESTS MADE FROM HOME INVASION/ ROBBERY/ ASSAULT 

IN STERLING CONNECTICUT ON  MARCH 9, 2008

    On March 9, 2008, Troopers from the Connecticut State Police from Troop D and Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad responded to a Home Invasion, Robbery and Assault at a residence located at 166 Sterling Road in Sterling, CT.

     The incident involved an unidentified male subject entering the residence in the late evening hours of March 8, 2008, and physically assaulting two of the residents of the home with a weapon. The victims Emelio Martinez DOB: 05/05/1987 and Alexandro Martinez DOB: 01/09/1988, of that address, were transported to Day Kimball Hospital by ambulance with severe blunt force injuries to the head. Both subjects were treated and later released from the hospital.

   As a result of an investigation conducted by Detectives from the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad from Troop D and with the assistance from the Plainfield Police Department, two female subjects who were at the residence on the evening of March 8, 2008 were identified and linked to the crime. Further investigation by State Police Detectives led to the identity of a male subject involved in the violent assault on the two residents of the house.

   Arrest warrants were issued from the Superior Court Windham Judicial District for the arrest of the two females and one male subject involved in this incident.

   On March 20, 2008 the Plainfield Police Department took Jennifer Diaz into custody for the State Police and subsquently turned her over to State Police Detectives. 

   On March 20, 2008 at 1008 hours, State Police Detectives took Amanda L. Danyow into custody in Willimantic.
