ARREST MADE REGARDING A FALSE COMPLAINT

MADE AGAINST A TROOPER

On January 24, the accused was arrested for DWI and other motor vehicle charges.

On that date the accused claimed that during his arrest that the State Trooper had  physically assaulted him. The accused gave a written statement to the State Police Supervisor alleging that the State Trooper physically assaulted during his arrest for DWI and other motor vehicle charges.

The State Police Supervisor reduced the arrestee’s complaint to writing and immediately subjected the Trooper to an Internal Investigation. During the internal investigation all possible witnesses were interviewed, all the evidence was reviewed in this case relative to the sworn complaint that was given by the accused. The investigator viewed video evidence from the dash camera of the arrest by the trooper accused of misconduct.  The video concluded that the information provided by the complainant/accused in this case was intentionally false and misleading.

Upon conclusion of this investigation the State Police investigator submitted an arrest warrant application for the arrest of the complainant/accused.  The warrant application was submitted to Superior Court GA #14.  The court issued the arrest warrant for the accused.
