                     STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN MURDER FOR HIRE CASE

   On 8-27-07, State Police Detectives from the Eastern District Major Crime Squad began a criminal investigation into a murder for hire plot being orchestrated by an inmate identified as Jennifer L. Ratti, DOB 07-09-80. 

   Ms. Ratti is currently incarcerated at the York Correctional Institution in Niantic for Criminal Attempt/Murder, Assault 1st Degree, and Reckless Endangerment, for poisoning her husband. While incarcerated at the York Correctional Institution Jennifer Ratti, with the assistance of another inmate, began soliciting outside assistance to hire someone to murder her husband.

   As a result of the criminal investigation Jennifer Ratti was arrested on 2-8-08 on the above named charges. The investigation continued and identified Jillian O’Connor as the inmate who assisted Jennifer Ratti in attempting to solicit outside help to murder Ratti’s husband. State Police Detectives submitted an arrest warrant affidavit for the arrest of the accused O’Connor.

   Today, 7-25-08, inmate Jillian O’Connor, was arrested on a warrant issued by State Police for her part in the conspiracy to hire someone to murder Ratti’s husband

   Jillian O’Connor was arrested at the Rockville Superior Court and held on a $75,000 court order bond pending her presentment in court on this date.
