              STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE

             ARMED ROBBERY IN SOMERS

On 2/06/08 at approximately 8:41 PM a black male  entered the XTRA Mart Store located on 169 Main St Somers, Ct.. The suspect, a black male, displayed a black and silver handgun approached the counter, and ordered the clerk to “give me all your money.” The suspect fled the scene in a dark colored sedan with an undetermined amount of cash. There were no injuries during this robbery.

State Troopers from State Police Troop C and the Somers Resident state trooper’s Office responded to the 911 call. They secured the scene and initiated a search of the area for the suspect.

State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime, also responded to the scene to conduct the investigation into this robbery.
