       3rd SUSPECT FROM NORFOLK HOME INVASION SUURRENDERS
SUSPECT IS IN STATE POLICE CUSTODY

   On 03/25/08 at approximately 3:35 p.m. State Police Troop-B received a report of a two-car motor vehicle accident on Roughland Rd in Norfolk.  Upon arrival the State Troopers investigation determined that the accident was part of a home invasion crime that had just occurred at a private home located on 314 Ashpohtag Rd, Norfolk.
   During this crime Troopers determined that two males had entered the residence, displayed handguns and assaulted the two residents inside the house. Several items were stolen from the house and the two suspects fled on foot to a waiting vehicle on Roughland Road.  The male victim chased after the suspects in a vehicle and did locate the suspect car on Roughland Rd. The victim struck the suspect car causing injury to at least two of the three suspects.  The victim’s vehicle flipped over and caused further injury to the victim.
   The third suspect fled the area on foot into to a wooded area. State Police initiated a Search of the area for the third suspect.  Troopers utilized Troopers from Troop B, State Police K-9 Teams, Western District Major Crime Detectives, and State Police Aviation aircraft.
   Major Crime Detectives responded to the scene and is have initiated a criminal investigation into this incident.  The State Police Accident reconstruction Squad also responded to assist in the accident investigation.
Two of three suspects were taken into custody at the scene. They are identified as
1. Eric R. Castillo age 18 (dob 8/6/89)
    of Winsted, CT
    charges:    Home Invasion, Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st, Assault 2nd with a Firearm,
                      Larceny and  Conspiracy to Commit the aforementioned offenses
2. Jesse Diaz  age 19  (dob 11/29/88)
    of Winsted, CT 
    charges:    Home Invasion,Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st, Assault 2nd with a Firearm,
                      Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit the aforementioned offenses
   They were held on $500,000.00 bonds and arraigned in GA-18/Bantam Superior Court on 03/26/08.
   During the course of this investigation Detectives were able to identify the 3rd suspect and in doing so an arrest warrant was presented to the court for this indiviual. That FELONY warrant was was issued for:

3.  Raymond A. SANTANA   age 21   d.o.b. 08/31/1986

     -surrendered himself at the Waterbury Police Department. State Police Major    

      Crime Detectives took custody of Santana and transported him to Troop L in   

      Litchfield where he  will be held on a $750,000 court set bond and presented in          

      court G.A. 18 Bantam Superior Court on Friday 03/28/2008.

     -charges:   Home Invasion,Burglary 1st, Robbery 1st,

                       Assault 2nd with a Firearm,  Larceny, and

                       Conspiracy to Commit the aforementioned offenses
