    STAMFORD MAN ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY

Arrested:       Michael A. Moavero   DOB 01/17/1961

                   41 Cross Road,

Stamford, CT    W/M

Charges:        Possession of Child Pornography (2cnts) 53a-196

                       

   On May 05, 2007, Michael Moavero was arrested at his place of employment, 225 Main Street in Norwalk, by members of the Connecticut State Police Computer Crimes and Electronic Evidence Laboratory in reference to a warrant for the above listed child pornography charges.  This arrest comes as a result of a multi-year investigation involving individuals who had purchased access to child pornography websites.  When seized by State Police,  Moavero’s computer systems contained numerous still images of child pornography.

   This investigation is concluded.

   Michael A. Moavero was processed and held on a $40,000 bond. He was arraigned at Stamford Superior court GA #13 at 123 Hoyt Street, Stamford CT.
