Canine Team “Patrol Dog” Graduation

   The Connecticut State Police Canine Training Unit announces the graduation ceremony of the 127th Patrol Canine Training Troop, to be held Friday, May 25, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Connecticut State Police Training Academy on 285 Preston Avenue in Meriden, CT.  There will be a total of nine (9) canine teams graduating, which are listed below.

   This graduation will be for canine teams within the Patrol Dog field.  These teams have been trained in the basic areas of tracking, aggression (handler protection), evidence recovery, building searches, obedience and classroom education.  The canines are all German Shepherds.  This marks the culmination of a 14-week rigorous and intense training course, which began on February 19, 2007.

   All graduates will appear on stage with their canine partners as part of this ceremony.
