Subject Arrested at Mohegan Sun for Leaving Children Unattended in Hotel Room

During the early morning hours of Thursday April 5th 2007 the Mohegan Sun Casino Security were called to a room in the Mohegan Sun Hotel for a loud noise complaint. Two children ages 11 and 3 were discovered in the room without any adult supervision. The Casino Security contacted the State Police Casino Unit in regards to this incident.

State Police Detectives initiated a criminal investigation and discovered that Young Chung age 42 had left the children in the room with a cell phone while she was reportedly in the casino. Chung was arrested and taken into custody. She was processed and released

on bond to appear in Superior Court GA #21

The Department of Children and Families was also notified of this incident. The two children were subsequently turned over another relative.

Charges: Leaving a Child Unsupervised in Place of

                 Public Accommodation                  

Bond: release on a $500 cash

Court date: April 26, 2007 at G.A. 21 in Norwich, CT
