                                                                         UPDATE

                   FATAL HOUSE FIRE WASHINGTON CT.

The Office of the State Fire Marshal, Washington Town Fire Marshal and Connecticut State Police Troop-L are continuing the investigation into the fatal house fire that occurred on 07/26/06 at 15 River Rd in the Town of Washington Ct.

A post mortem examination of the deceased was conducted today 07/27/06 at the Office of the Chief States Medical Examiner. The deceased was positively identified as ROBERT ANDERSON DOB: 6/24/46. The Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be by smoke inhalation.

State Police Investigators have determined that ANDERSON who lived at 15 River Rd and was in fact home alone at the time of this fire.  

The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation.
