State Police Investigating an Untimely Death of a Teen on Mount Higby, Middlefield

On Tuesday evening, August 8th 2006, the State Police (Troop F) received a report of an accident involving a victim that had fallen from the top of a cliff in an area known as Mount Higby in Middlefield.

State Troopers responded to the scene. Trooper One was summoned to the scene to assist in locating the victim. Firefighters and EMS personnel from both Middletown and Middlefield Fire Departments climbed the cliff, administered aid to the victim and carried the victim from the accident scene to a landing zone where Life Star was waiting to treat and transport the victim.

The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital where she was subsequently pronounced deceased.

The victim is identified as    Ashley PARKER   age 17   of Madison, CT

The Connecticut State Police is conducting an Untimely Death investigation into this incident. The other parties that were with the victim at the time of this incident have been interviewed and this investigation is continuing.
