                 STATE POLICE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE NETS ARREST

The Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force, assisted by Waterbury Police Department Narcotics Detectives, conducted an extensive investigation into reported narcotics sales in the greater Waterbury area.

Undercover narcotics detectives were utilized during this investigation.  As a result of facts and circumstances uncovered and evidence collected by investigators, nine arrest warrant applications were submitted to Superior Court GA #4 in Waterbury for the arrest of the accused.

Today 02/24/06 nine arrest warrants were issued for the arrest of the accused in this case. State Police Detectives took the accused into custody without incident.  The accused was transported to Troop-A Southbury where he was formally charged and processed.  The accused was held on $1,350,000 bond to appear in Superior Court on 02/27/06 to answer the charges.

Waterbury Police Chief Neil O’Leary said, “This cooperative investigative effort between the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force and the Waterbury Police Department enhances public safety in this region and enhances the quality of life in our city.”
