           STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING INCIDENT

On 08/11/06 at 3:22 a.m. State Police Troop-G Bridgeport received a report from a male victim who stated that his car was shot at while he was traveling on Rt. 25 southbound between exit #4 and #5  in Bridgeport. The caller stated that he was not injured and was alone in the car.

State Troopers responded to the scene on Rt. 25 where Troopers interviewed the male victim.  Troopers examined the victim’s vehicle and did locate bullet holes. Troopers conducted a search of the surrounding area for the suspect vehicle and also notified all surrounding police departments of the shooting incident and the description of the suspect vehicle.

State Police Western District Major Crime Detectives responded to the scene to process the scene for physical and forensic evidence and to assist in this criminal investigation.  

The suspect vehicle is described as a small black or dark colored car that was last seen traveling southbound on Rt. 25 immediately after the shooting incident.

State Police are asking anyone who may have been in this area in the early morning hours and may have observed this shooting incident or anyone who may have any information to contact State Police at 203- 896-2500.

This case remains under investigation
