                                       SUSPICIOUS DEATH AT ROCKY HILL VETS HOME

                                            RULED A SUICIDE, NO CRIMINAL ASPECT

On 06/06/06 shortly after 7:30 a.m. an employee of the Rocky Hill Veterans Home entered the auditorium building and found an unresponsive male inside the building. The employee contacted EMS and Security personnel were summoned and responded to the scene.  EMS pronounced the male subject deceased at the scene. Security personnel secured the area.

State Police Troopers and Central District Major Crime Detectives responded to conduct a criminal investigation into this incident. State Police Detectives processed the scene gathering physical evidence and documenting the scene.   The deceased was not a resident of the facility.  He last resided there in 1999.

On 06/07/2006 the Office of the Chief State’s Medical Examiner conducted a post mortem examination of the deceased and ruled this death as a suicide.

The deceased is identified as:

                                   Edmond DESEY

                                   d.o.b. 06/26/1947

                                   Wethersfield, CT

State Police investigators are classifying this investigation as an untimely death with no criminal aspect.
