ROAD RAGE INCIDENT RESULTS IN ARREST OF TWO SUBJECTS

AND INJURY TO TROOPER

      Early Tuesday morning August 1, 2006, at 01:45 a.m., Troop H in Hartford received a 911 call reporting that the occupants of a vehicle were throwing objects at another vehicle in the area of I-84 Westbound, by exit 44, in Hartford. State Troopers were able to locate both vehicles and stopped both vehicles.

      During the course of this motor vehicle stop, two occupants of the suspect vehicle became hostile and combative. Both subjects were interfering with the investigation of this incident and refusing to yield to the orders of the police. Both subjects were arrested and taken into custody after resisting arrest and assaulting a trooper. The trooper received an injury to his hand and wrist. He was treated at a local hospital and released.

Arrested:

1. Jon S. PEARSON   age 32   d.o.b. 06/01/1974  30 Edgewood Drive, Enfield

Charges- Assault on Police Officer, Interfering with the Police, Illegal use of the Highway by a Pedestrian, Throwing Object at a Motor Vehicle, Breach of Peace, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree, Refusal to be Fingerprinted

   

   During the course of being arrested, PEARSON suffered a minor injury; however, he refused medical treatment. Pearson was detained on $35,000 bond to be present at G.A. 14 on 08/01/06.

2. Brian A. GRISKA  age 35   d.o.b. 06/18/1971   60 McClintock Street #160, New Britain

Charges- Assault on Police Officer, Interfering with the Police,

Illegal use of the Highway by a Pedestrian, Throwing Object at a Motor Vehicle, Breach of Peace, Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree, Criminal Mischief 2nd degree

   During the course of being arrested, GRISKA suffered a minor injury; he was treated and released at a local hospital. GRISKA was detained on $30,000 bond to be present at G.A. 14 on 08/01/06.
