STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE MISSING PERSON IN WOODSTOCK

                               ***UPDATE**ARREST MADE

 On 12/12/05 the Connecticut State Police Troop-D Danielson has initiated a missing person investigation in the Town of Woodstock Connecticut. At approximately 7:30 p.m. on Monday 12/12/05 State Police received a telephone complaint from the husband of the missing person. He reported that his wife JUDITH NILAN had left the residence on English Neighborhood Road in Woodstock at about 4:30 p.m.for her daily run and she failed to return home. The complainant searched the normal running route for his wife without success and then notified State Police.

State Troopers responded to the residence and began the missing person investigation. The area of the residence was searched; as was the typical running route usually taken by JUDITH NILAN for her daily run. State Police K-9 teams, Trooper-1 the State Police Helicopter, and additional manpower responded to the area to assist in this search.

The missing person JUDITH NILAN DOB: 6/7/61 was discovered dead at an outbuilding on private property in Woodstock.

The suspect in this case was a patient at Day Kimble Hospital for a medical evaluation. 

Tonight 12/13/05 at 7:30 p.m. the suspect was discharged from the hospital. The Connecticut State Police took him into custody. The accused was transported to Connecticut State Police Troop-D in Danielson where he was processed and held on bond.

Accused is held on $1,000,000 bond to appear at GA #11 Danielson on 12/14/05
