Application Window Announcements

Public Notice 700MHz “General Use” Frequency Application Window

The New England Planning Committee (FCC Region 19) has announced the opening of frequency application windows for 769-775/799-805MHz radio band.  The Region 19 area includes the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Applications will be accepted in two consecutive window filings in the 769-775/799-805MHz band annually. The window filings are as follows, November 1st – April 30th and May 1st – October 30th.

Evaluation of applications will be conducted by the Region 19 Committee.  Each application will be rated and scored for completeness of the application, systems need, coverage, loading, funding availability and other technical criteria.  Applications receiving a high ranking may not necessarily receive a frequency assignment as certain areas, in Region 19, may be depleted of 700 MHz by previous window filings and corresponding channel assignments.
