1984 Ellington Homicide, Robert Beauchene Jr.



The Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad is investigating the August 26, 1984 homicide of Robert Beauchene Junior. Beauchene was found shot to death on the west bank of Shenipst Lake in Ellington, Connecticut. Beauchene was last seen rowing away from shore in a canoe with another male.


A $10,000.00 cash reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this murder has been authorized by Governor William O’Neill. All information will be held strictly confidential.

The Connecticut State Police is actively investigating this murder with the assistance of a number of local Police Departments.  Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact;
