2021 State Park Camping Areas 

**Rustic cabin reservations include a processing fee and occupancy tax.

BLACK ROCK STATE PARK
The Black Rock State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from April 9 through September 6 (daily). 
Cabins are available for rent Friday nights through Sunday nights.  There is a two night minimum for Cabin reservations.
DEVIL'S HOPYARD STATE PARK

The Devil's Hopyard Campground will be OPEN for the 2021 season from April 9 through October 11. 
The water at Devil's Hopyard State Park is unsafe for drinking.  Please plan to bring your own water when camping or using a day pavilion.

  • 21 wooded sites near scenic waterfall. Stream fishing, no swimming. No pets.
  • $14/night/campsite for CT residents.  There is a Processing Fee for reservations.

HAMMONASSET BEACH STATE PARK
The Hammonasset Beach State Park campground will be open for the 2021 season from May 28 through October 11 (daily).
  • 1288 Boston Post Road (Route 1), Madison
  • William F. Miller Campground. 558 open sites. Concession, dumping station, bathrooms, showers. Saltwater swimming and fishing. Individual fireplaces not provided. No pets.
  • $20/night/campsite for CT residents plus a Processing Fee

The Hopeville Pond State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from April 9 through October 11.

The Housatonic Meadows State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from May 28 through September 6 (daily).

KETTLETOWN STATE PARK

The Kettletown State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from May 28 through October 11 (daily). 

LAKE WARAMAUG STATE PARK

The Lake Waramaug State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from May 28 through October 11 (daily). 
Cabins are available for rent Friday nights through Sunday nights.  There is a two night minimum for Cabin reservations.

MACEDONIA BROOK STATE PARK

The Macedonia Brook State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from April 9 through October 11 (daily).

  • 159 Macedonia Brook Road, Kent
  • 51 sites in rustic setting. Stream fishing, excellent hiking, no swimming. No pets.
  • ALCOHOL PROHIBITED.  Please do not bring alcoholic beverages.

Wolf Den Campground will be open from May 28th through October 11 (daily).

ROCKY NECK STATE PARK

The Rocky Neck State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season from May 21 through October 11 (daily).

Cabins can be reserved by the week only (Sunday to Sunday).

SALT ROCK CAMPGROUND

The Salt Rock State Park Campground will be open for the 2021 season, from May 14 through October 11 (daily).

  • 173 Scotland Road (Rte. 97), Baltic, 06330
  • Exit 83 off I-395.  Go left, follow Rte. 97 through Baltic.  2 miles north on the left, just past Salt Rock Road.
  • 71 tent and recreational vehicle (RV) sites. Utilities to some sites, bathroom, dumping station, showers, in-ground swimming pool (opens mid June).
  • Fishing allowed.
  • Two pets/site permitted.
  • Nightly Rates for CT residents:
    • $33/night for a tent site
    • $37/night for a site with electricity and water
    • $40/night for a site with electricity, water, and sewer
      plus a Processing Fee
    • Rates for non-CT residents are $45, $48, and $52 per night plus a Processing Fee.
  • Extended Stay Rates for CT residents:
    • $222/ 7-night week tent sites
    • $249/ 7-night week with electric, and water

AMERICAN LEGION STATE FOREST

The Austin Hawes Campground in American Legion State Forest will be open for the 2021 season from April 9 through October 11 (daily). 
Cabins are available for rent Friday nights through Sunday nights. There is a two night minimum for Cabin reservations.          

  • West River Road, Pleasant Valley
  • Austin F. Hawes Memorial Campground, midway between Pleasant Valley and Riverton on West River Road. 30 sites in pine woods. Dumping station, bathrooms, showers, fishing. No swimming. One pet/site permitted.

PACHAUG STATE FOREST

The Green Falls Campground in Pachaug State Forest will be open for the 2021 season, from April 9 through October 11 (daily).

  • Voluntown
  • Reservations are needed
  • ALCOHOL PROHIBITED.  Please do not bring alcoholic beverages. 
  • The campgrounds are located near State lands that are open to hunting hunting symbol
  • Two camping areas:
  • Green Falls Campground, off Route 138, 3 miles east of Voluntown. 18 wooded sites. Pond fishing, swimming. One pet/site permitted.

The Mount Misery Campground in Pachaug State Forest will be open for the 2021 season from April 9 through October 11 (daily). .   

  • Mt. Misery Campground, off route 49, north of Voluntown. 22 wooded sites. Stream fishing, swimming nearby. One pet/site permitted.
    • Reservations are needed
    • ALCOHOL PROHIBITED.  Please do not bring alcoholic beverages.

HORSE CAMP AREAS

The following campgrounds have been designed exclusively for equestrian use. Open April 10, close on Thanksgiving. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Camping is offered for riders who can provide their own mounts.  Horse rentals are not available.

NATCHAUG STATE FOREST
  • 109 Kingsbury Road, Eastford
  • Silvermine Horse Camp. 15 wooded sites. Basic facilities only - campers are responsible for cleaning sites and carrying out all trash. Pet permitted. No fee.

The Equestrian Campground at Pachaug State Forest will be open for the 2021 season, from April 9 through October 11 (daily).
