LIBRARY LEGACY COLLECTIONS [1835-2020]

The Legacy Collections include a comprehensive assemblage of Connecticut Survey documents, including geologic maps and reports, historic correspondence, unpublished field manuscripts, scientific specimens, geoscience data, publication originals, and Open File documents. The State Survey Library is both an historic research library and a modern collection, in continual use by Connecticut Survey staff, students, volunteers, and external scholars. The Survey Library Legacy Collections are located at DEEP headquarters in Hartford, Connecticut.  Holdings include contributions that pre-date the establishment of the State Geological and Natural History Survey of Connecticut in 1903, with catalog entries dated from 1835 to the current year, 2020.

Published materials are accessible online, at the CT State Library, or for purchase at the DEEP Store.
