National Cooperative Mapping Program

Connecticut STATEMAP

The CT Geological Survey is an active participant in the State Component of the National Cooperative Geologic Mapping Program coordinated by the U.S. Geological Survey (STATEMAP). The Connecticut STATEMAP project for 2006 is titled "Digital Compilation of Surficial Geologic Maps and Bedrock Contours for the Coventry and Columbia Quadrangles, Eastern Connecticut." The 2006 project is a joint mapping partnership between the CT Geological Survey and the University of Connecticut Department of Natural Resources Management and Engineering. The final scope of work and geographic extent of the mapping is currently being re-evaluated based on available funding.
