The Department's professional licensing and enforcement process is designed to assure that only qualified, competent persons are licensed in the real estate and real estate appraisal professions.  The Department also conducts field inspections of appraisal licensees' offices to ensure conformance to state statutes and investigates consumer complaints. For timeshares and exchange companies, please see Public Act 09-156.
