Guidance for Healthcare Professionals and Healthcare Facilities from the Department of Public Health – DPH has published guidance for healthcare professionals and healthcare facilities during the course of the COVID-19 Pandemic. DPH will continue to add to this guidance website.

Information for Healthcare Professionals from the CDC - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has a wealth of guidance and resources for healthcare professionals including caring for patients with COVID-19, persons under investigation, clinical care and infection control. 

Implementing Safety Practices for Critical Infrastructure Workers Who May Have Had Exposure to a Person with Suspected or Confirmed COVID-19 - CDC advises that critical infrastructure workers may be permitted to continue work following potential exposure to COVID-19, provided they remain asymptomatic and additional precautions are implemented to protect them and the community.

Online COVID-19 Case Report Form - Providers can now submit a COVID-19 case report online. This is the preferred way to submit COVID-19 case reports.

Information for Connecticut Funeral Directors - The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) provides guidance for funeral directors and medical staff on postmortem care. 

 

Volunteers

CTResponds! - CTResponds! is the State of Connecticut’s web-based volunteer management system. It is Connecticut’s online volunteer system for the Emergency System for Advance Registration of Volunteer Health Professionals (ESAR-VHP) and other interested volunteers. This system helps to maintain a registry of volunteers’ skills and credentials available within the state, and helps communities match available resources to an emergency event. Individuals interested in volunteering, should register on the CTResponds! online system.
