Private Pond, Madison
2018 Aquatic Plant Survey of Private Pond, Madison
CAES IAPP surveyed a private pond located on a private residence in Madison, CT during 2018. The pond was 0.1 acres with a very shallow depth. Because of its size, no transect data was collected. Nine species were found with no invasives. Common reed (Phragmites australis) was found in a small patch on the northeastern perimeter which is an invasive wetland species. Due to the shallow depth, there is dense vegetation within the pond with encroaching wetland species.
