Responsibilities:

Michael’s responsibilities include providing technical support to research programs within the Department of Forestry & Horticulture and The Center for Vector Biology and Zoonotic Diseases.  Research areas include Integrated Tick Management, Forest Health, Human-Wildlife Interaction, and Invasive Plant Control.  His technical expertise includes the following areas;

  • Small mammal capture, tag and release
  • Tick collection, identification and analysis
  • Aerial deer survey
  • Camera trapping
  • Herbaceous and woody plant identification
  • Invasive plant control using mechanical and chemical methods
  • Greenhouse and field production and management
