Attorney General Applauds FERC Decision To Accept His Complaint Regarding ISO-NE's Payment Of Almost $86 Million To Generators Who Delivered No Power
April 21, 2009
FERC has instructed all parties to respond to Blumenthal's complaint by May 11.
Blumenthal said, "I look forward to participating actively and aggressively in the FERC hearings on my formal complaint, providing an opportunity to uncover facts and hold accountable ISO-New England for this apparent scam. FERC's record speed in accepting this complaint speaks powerfully to the need for strong and immediate investigative efforts.
"A sense of urgency is well supported -- because this $86 million scandal undercuts the credibility of our entire energy system."
