Middle School Science Cross-Endorsements: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth Science, General Science, Integrated Science

Biology, Middle School 4-8 (#230)

Effective March 1, 2020, following the update to the 2020-21 designated shortage areas, educators who hold a valid Initial, Provisional, or Professional Educator Certificate with a teaching endorsement may be eligible for an additional endorsement in middle school biology by obtaining a passing score on the appropriate Praxis II test. Additional coursework in the content area is no longer required.

Please note: New endorsements designated as shortage areas for the 2020-21 school year will be issued with a July 1, 2020 effective date.

Assessment Requirement:

Chemistry, Middle School 4-8 (#231)

Effective March 1, 2020, following the update to the 2020-21 designated shortage areas, educators who hold a valid Initial, Provisional, or Professional Educator Certificate with a teaching endorsement may be eligible for an additional endorsement in middle school chemistry by obtaining a passing score on the appropriate Praxis II test. Additional coursework in the content area is no longer required.

Additional coursework in the content area is no longer required.

Additional coursework in the content area is no longer required.

Effective March 1, 2020, following the update to the 2020-21 designated shortage areas, educators who hold a valid Initial, Provisional, or Professional Educator Certificate with a teaching endorsement may be eligible for an additional endorsement in middle school integrated science by obtaining a passing score on the appropriate Praxis II test. Additional coursework in the content area is no longer required.

NOTE: All coursework must result in the award of college-level credit posted to an official transcript from a regionally accredited college or university.
