Initial Educator Certificate Holder

Submit the online application and payment by credit card or mail the paper-based application to the address noted at the top of the form.

Standard processing of certification applications is 6-8 weeks, and 10-12 weeks during peak months, from the original date of submission.
Please note: The total cost to renew an Initial educator certificate is $200.00, including the $50 nonrefundable review fee. The money order, cashier’s check or certified bank check made payable to “Treasurer, State of Connecticut.” Personal checks cannot be accepted.
Provisional Educator Certificate Holder
Step 2
Submit the online application and payment by credit card or mail the paper-based application and payment to the address noted at the top of the form. *Please note: If you have completed 30 months of successful service under a license within the last ten years, then please submit a completed Statement of Professional Experience (ED 126) form(s) documenting all experience.

Professional Educator Certificate Holder

Please note: There is no cost to renew a Professional Certificate; documentation of professional development (CEUs) is NOT required; and supplemental documentation is not required.
