Overview

The following courses at the institutions listed below are acceptable to meet the three semester hours of credit from a regionally accredited institution, or 45 clock hours of instruction which shall include the following topics: legal and safety aspects of coaching children and adolescents; medical aspects of coaching children and adolescents; and principles and practices of coaching children and adolescents; and child and adolescent sports psychology.

CENTRAL CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITY:

PE 101-Legal Liability (1 credit); and
PE 102 Medical Aspects (1 credit); or PE 217-Care and Treatment of Athletic Injuries (3 credits); and
PE 103 Principles and Practices (1 credit); or PE 332-Psychological Aspects of Sport (3 credits)

CONNECTICUT INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC CONFERENCE (CIAC):

45 clock hours in legal, medical and psychological aspects of sport
