2019 Passport to Connecticut Farm Wineries

The Council's most popular program is the annual Passport to Connecticut Farm Wineries, which begins the first Friday in May and ends the first Sunday in November. Check the Wine Passport page for a complete list of participating wineries.

The 2019 Passport program starts May 3, 2019. Start your journey on May 3, 2019, or later, by going to a participating winery to pick up your printed passport or download the CT Farm Wine app on your phone. Collect 12 or more stamps and return your printed passport to a participating winery no later than November 3, 2019.

Your completed Wine Passport will be entered into a drawing for a two-week trip for two to Malaga, Spain or other prizes. You will see the letter P in the listings below to see the wineries in the passport this year. Also, you can have your passport stamped at the CT Wine Festival, in Goshen, July 20-21, 2019.

A Voluntary Connecticut Grown Farm Winery Program

In accordance with Connecticut General Statutes, Chapter 545, Section 30-1(e)(5), all licensed farm wineries in Connecticut are required to use a minimum of 25% Connecticut Grown fruit in their wines.  However, many wineries used more than 25%. A voluntary program was created to foster the growth of the industry in Connecticut, and highlight those farms using more Connecticut Grown grapes and other fruit in the production of their wines. By participating in this program, Connecticut farm wineries must provide additional documentation each year to our agency showing they are using 51% or more Connecticut Grown fruit to produce their wines. You will find a CG next to the name of the farm in our listing below, or a CT Grown symbol on the brochure and passport.
