You may upgrade your learner's permit to a driver's license once you have successfully completed your road skills test.

Step 1: Gather what you’ll need

• Your first and last name exactly as it appears on your current learner’s permit
• Your date of birth
• Your street address
• Your learner’s permit number
• Your social security number
• A credit or debit card

Step 3: Get your card in the mail

Your license will arrive through the mail within 20 business days. Retain your learner's permit until you receive your driver's license. For more information, contact Central Issuance.

The fee for a new license $84.
