Connecticut Strategic Prevention Framework Coalitions (CSC) Initiative


The CSC Initiative is comprised of 12 agencies that collaborate with community coalitions to implement SAMHSA’s five-step Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). The CSC Initiative objectives are to: develop strong linkages between communities and State agencies; implement and sustain culturally competent, evidence-based prevention services; and achieve measurable outcomes in reducing substance abuse while also promoting positive mental health.  Included in the list below are the 12 CSC Initiative community coalitions, their location and priority substance(s) linked to a timeline visualization indicating highlights and outcomes of their work from 2015 to 2020:
