State Police Make Oxford Pharmacy Burglary Arrest

Today 01/18/11 shortly after 2:30 a.m. Connecticut State Police Troop A received notification from an alarm Company reporting a burglar alarm was activated at Oxford Pharmacy 100 Oxford Rd in Oxford.  The Oxford Resident Trooper’s office and Troop A Troopers responded and observed the front door of the pharmacy was damaged.  Responding Troopers and Officers set a perimeter and initiated a search for suspects.

State Police K9 teams responded and all surrounding towns P.D.’s were notified of this burlgary. Troopers and Officer followed footprints in the snow and utuilized State Police K-9 teams to locate two of the accused in this case.

After searching for over an hour, two suspects (Corey Scarduzio 6/5/89 of 3 Snyder Dr, Beacon Falls, and Jordan Krakowski 2/13/89 of 26 Jones Road, Beacon Falls) were located nearby and taken into custody. Both accused were transported to Troop A Southbury and charged with 53a-48, Conspiracy To Commit Burglary, 53a-103, Burglary 3rd Degree, and 53a-115, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. 

Information was developed that there were three suspects involved in this burglary and that Dylan Owen 4/26/90 of 40 Antler Lane Wilton CT also participated in the pharmacy burglary.

Investigation determined that $1500.00 of prescription medication was stolen during the burglary.  Both accused Corey Scarduzio and Jordan Krakowski were held at Troop A Southbury and arraigned at Derby superior court on 01/18/2011.

At about 10:30 am, The Beacon falls Resident State Trooper located accused Dylan Owen on South Main Street (Rte 42) in Beacon Falls.  Accused Owen was apprehended and transported to Troop "I" in Bethany where he was formally charged for this pharmacy burglary. Owen was charged with 53a-48, Conspiracy To Commit Burglary, 53a-103, Burglary 3rd Degree, and 53a-115, Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.  He was held at Troop I on $40,000.00 bond and will be arraigned on Wednesday 1/19/11 t at GA#5 Derby. The Beacon Falls Resident Trooper’s office also charged Owen with additional unrelated burglary, larceny, and weapons charges.

NO additional arrests are anticipated in the Oxford Pharmacy Burglary investigation.
