State Police Make Narcotics Arrest

On 8/15/2011 at approximately 10:15 p.m. the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force executed a Search Warrant on 17 Spinning Wheel Rd Monroe, CT.  The search warrants were obtained after narcotics investigators developed investigative information that the occupants of the address were cultivating and selling Marijuana. Narcotics Detectives applied to Superior Court for a Search and Seizure warrant for the Monroe property.

Narcotics Detectives, at about 6:00 p.m., arrived at the Spinning Wheel Road address and spoke with the Curt Porell and Kimberly Finocchio.   Porell immediately admitted that he had a few marijuana plants in the basement of the residence.  Troopers secured the residence and SNTF detectives obtained the search warrant for the house.

Upon executing the search warrant narcotics detectives located large scale marijuana grow operation with plants in several stages of development.  Detectives located and seized 180 marijuana plants, approx 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 8.5 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, marijuana grow equipment, packaging material, and approx $11,000.00 in cash.

Both Finocchio and Porell were taken into State Police custody and transported to Troop G in Bridgeport for processing.  They were both detained in lieu of a $100,000.00 bond for GA 2, Bridgeport, CT., court date of 8/16/2011.
