State Police Make Murder For Hire Arrest

On November 12, 2010 an occupied car traveling on Trumbull Avenue in Bridgeport, CT was shot at three times. State Police Detectives developed information that John Pierce was the person who fired at this vehicle regarding an outstanding drug debt.  A cooperative investigation between the State Police Detectives, Bridgeport, and Stratford Police Department identified the person driving the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

State Police interviewed the victim and confirmed the positive identification of the accused JOHN PIERCE as the shooter.  State Police Narcotics Detectives continued the investigation and made Controlled /Undercover Narcotics Buys from the suspect JOHN PIERCE.

On Nov. 30, 2010 State Police attempted a fourth Controlled / Undercover Narcotics Buy. During this buy it was the intention of investigators to take PIERCE into custody. While attempting to arrest PIERCE at the scene he fled on foot and he was apprehended by a Bridgeport Police Officer.  At the time of this arrest Pierce was already out on a $50,000.00 bond for an unrelated weapons possession charge. A search of PIERCE, subsequent to his arrest, found him to be in possession of “crack” cocaine. He was charged by Bridgeport PD and held on a $50,000 Cash Bond.

State Police Detectives submitted two arrest warrant applications to Superior Court for the arrest of JOHN PIERCE.   An arrest warrant was issued by the court for the arrest of the accused.

On February 1, 2011 State Police Detectives executed the Arrest Warrants on JOHN PIERCE.  PIERCE was charged with Criminal Attempt Murder (53a-49/53a-54a), Criminal Attempt Assault First Degree (53a-49/53a-59), Reckless Endangerment (53a-63) and Three Counts of Sale of Narcotics (21a-278(b)).  A bond of $250,000.00 was set for the Criminal Attempt Murder and related charges, and a bond of $100, 00.00 was set for the Sale of Narcotics charge. Accused Pierce was processed, held on Bond and will appear in Superior Court on February 3, 2011 GA 2, 172 Golden Hill Street Bridgeport, CT.

Accused John C. Pierce, aka Johnny “O” or “C” is known by the police to be a “Terrace Boy” which is a street gang also known as the “North End Boys”.
