STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN SEX ASSAULT CASE

      In February 2011, Detectives from State Police Eastern District Major Crime at Troop E initiated a criminal investigation regarding a sexual assault which occurred within the Town of East Lyme.

      The information developed indicated that the incident involved the accused and allegations of sexual misconduct involving a minor, which had occurred approximately ten years prior. Based upon their investigation, Detectives applied for and subsequently obtained an arrest warrant for the accused on charges of sexual assault.

      On Friday, April 15, 2011, the accused turned herself into Detectives from at Troop E in Montville. She was processed and released after posting a $50,000 bond. The accused is scheduled to appear in court at GA 10 New London, CT on 4/19/11.

Charges: Sexual Assault 2nd Degree
