State Police Investigate Death of Hunter in Colchester

State Police are investigating the death of a hunter in Colchester today.

After an extensive search, State Troopers found the body of Teejay Wisiewski (DOB 1/4/1965), a Colchester resident, in a heavily wooded area off Marvin Road in Colchester at 6:00 a.m. today, December 21, 2011.

Mr. Wisiewski was reported missing after he had not returned home following his hunting trip.

He was found unresponsive with his rifle slung over his shoulder near the base of a tree that held a tree stand commonly used by hunters.

The Chief State’s Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy on the body. No foul play is suspected.
