                        STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE BANK ROBBERY

   On Sunday, December 13, 2009, at 1:15 p.m., State Police Troop F were notified by employees of TD Bank located at 331 Main Street in Durham of a bank robbery that had just taken place.  Troopers immediately responded, secured the crime scene and initiated a search of the area for the suspect.  State Police K-9 teams and additional Troopers joined the search for the suspect and all area police departments were notified of this bank robbery.

   Trooper's preliminary investigation revealed that a lone white male entered the bank wearing a bandana covering his face.  He displayed a handgun demanding cash from the tellers. The suspect fled on foot with an undetermined amount of cash.

   The suspect is described a white male, 5’9” to 5’ 10” tall, weighing 170 to 190 lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie-type sweatshirt. The suspect fled on foot in unknown direction. 

   The State Police Major Crime Squad Detectives responded to process the scene and to conduct this criminal investigation.

   The attached bank photos of the suspect were obtained from bank surveillance cameras. State Police are asking anyone who may recognize this suspect or anyone who may have any information in this robbery to call State Police at (860) 399-2100 all calls will be confidential.
