                     STATEWIDE NARCOTICS TASK FORCE MAKES MAJOR ARREST

   On April 28, 2009, the Statewide Narcotic Task Force - East Field Office, and the Putnam Police Department conducted a joint narcotics-related investigation. This investigation resulted in the arrest of the below accused for trafficking quantities of marijuana within Northeast Connecticut. Seized was approximately three (3) pounds of marijuana, $41,122.00 dollars in U.S. Currency & numerous items of drug paraphernalia (packaging material, scales).   The marijuana seized has a street value of $5,200.00 dollars. Investigation continues.

ACCUSED:   Adam Schellinger (DOB 02/24/1984)

CHARGES:   Possession Marijuana, 21a-279(c) (2 counts)

                  Possession of Marijuana WITS, 21a-277(b) (2 counts)
                  Possession Marijuana WITS 1500’ of a School, 21a-278a(d)

BOND:          $250.000.00  Cash/Surety
