STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN

    LARCENY/FORGERY INVESTIGATION

In December of 2008 State Police received a complaint from the State of Connecticut Department of Developmental Services that suspicious signatures and information on overtime documents had been submitted for overtime pay to the department, over a 6 month period of time.

A State Police Trooper was assigned to conduct a criminal investigation into the allegation.  The State Trooper assigned to this investigation uncovered facts and information in this case that resulted in the submission of an arrest warrant application to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused.  The court did issue the arrest warrant. 

Today 02/26/09 at approximately 9:00 a.m. the accused surrendered to State Police at Troop-H  in Hartford. The accused was formally arrested, processed, and released on written promise to appear in court.

ARRESTED: GAYNES, Lisa-Ann   DOB: 12/21/66

                       461 North Spring St.

                       Naugatuck , Connecticut

CHARGES:    Forgery 1st  (17counts)

                        Larceny 1st

The accused will appear in New Britain Superior Court GA #15 on 03/12/09. No additional arrests are anticipated.
