STATE POLICE MAKE ARREST IN HOMICIDE

   On 7-28-09 Correctional officers at the Northern Correctional Center in Somers were summoned to the cell of inmates Reynaldo Robles, D.O.B 9-18-86, and Jose Jusino, D.O.B 2-20-87.

   Upon arrival, the Correctional Officers found Inmate Reynaldo Robles unresponsive in his bunk. The inmate Robles was transported via ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The cell area was secured and detectives from the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad began a criminal investigation into the death of inmateReynaldo Robles.

   An autopsy was performed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The death of  inmate Robles was ruled a homicide.

   Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad Detectives began an investigation into the death of Reynaldo Robles and as a result of facts and evidence gathered during this investigation, State Police Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for the arrest of inmateJose Jusino.  Jusino was arrested and arraigned today, 10-2-09, atTolland Superior Court.  He was charged with Capitol Felony Murder in connection with the death of his cellmate, Robles.

  No additional arrests are anticipated
