                  STATE POLICE INVESTIGATE BEACON FALLS STRUCTURE FIRE

        

   Today, October 16, 2009, at 2:51 a.m., State Police at Troop I received a 911 call regarding a structure fire at the Beacon Bakery and Deli located on 94 North Main Street in the town of Beacon Falls.

   State Police and Beacon Falls Fire Personnel responded and upon arrival, discovered the building fully engulfed in flames.

   The Beacon Falls Fire Department received assistance in fighting the fire by the Naugatuck Fire Dept. The fire was brought under control by responding fire personnel.

   The Beacon Falls Fire Marshal requested the assistance of State Police Detectives assigned to the State Fire Marshal’s Office to respond to Beacon Falls.

   State Police Major Crime Detectives also responded to this fire scene to work with State Police Fire Investigators.

   There were no reported injuries at this scene.

             

   The investigation is continuing.
