            STATE POLICE MAKE SEXUAL ASSAULT ARREST    

A criminal  investigation was initiated by the Connecticut State Police Eastern District Major Crime Squad after information was discovered by detectives who were investigating an unrelated case.

During this new investigation State Police Detectives gathered facts and circumstances regarding the complaint of sexual assaults occurring between the accused, a choreographer/instructor at the Capitol Theater Arts Academy (CTAA) and a juvenile student.  Investigators determined facts in this investigation that led them to submit an arrest warrant application to Superior Court.

ARRESTED:    GAGNON, ANASTASIA DOB:08-02-1988

                                      32 Lebanon Ave.

                                      Willimantic, CT

CHARGES:       1) Sexual Assault in the 2nd Degree (2 counts) 

                      2) Risk of Injury to a Minor                   

The court issued the arrest warrant for the accused and today 01/12/09 the accused Gagnon turned herself into State Police at Troop-C in Tolland.  The accused was processed and held on a $50,000.00 bond at Troop C, Tolland. She was then transported to GA 19, Rockville, CT to be arraigned on the charges.
