STATE POLICE MAKE SEXUAL ASSAULT ARREST

In June of 2009 the Connecticut State Police initiated a criminal investigation into a reported sexual assault.  The complainant, parents of the victim, reported that a staff member of a local school (the Gunnery) assaulted a minor.

The Washington Resident State Trooper began a criminal investigation.  As a result of facts and circumstances uncovered and evidence seized, during the initial investigation it was revealed that there were three victims.  Three arrest warrant applications were submitted to Superior Court for the arrest of the accused.  The arrest warrants were issued for the accused by the court.  On August 5, 2009 the accused was arrested by State Police and arraigned at Superior Court GA 18 located in Bantam.

Subsequent to the arrest, a fourth Victim has been identified. As a result of the additional facts and circumstances determined during the investigation, a fourth arrest warrant for the accused was submitted to Superior Court.  An arrest warrant was issued by the court for the arrest of the accused.

On October 6, 2009 the accused arrived at Troop-L Litchfield to surrender to the State Police.  The accused was processed and is being held on $250,000. bond.  The accused was transported to Superior Court where he was arraigned.
