State Police Make Arrest, Solving 37 Burglaries in Central CT

     On Friday May 15, 2009 State Police Troopers from Troop F Westbrook arrested Ryan T. Stocking age 29 on 13 outstanding arrest warrants.

     The arrest of Stocking is a result of a five month long investigation by Troop F troopers into twenty-one (21) residential burglaries, which had occurred in the towns of Haddam and Killingworth during the months of October and November 2008.

     Over the course of this extensive investigation troopers followed several different leads, conducted numerous interviews, and were able to identified suspects into these burglaries.   With that information troopers were able to assist several local police agencies with sixteen (16) pending burglary investigations that occurred in the towns of Portland, East Hampton, Middletown and Glastonbury.  Troopers recovered over 250 pieces of stolen items, which included several firearms.

     Stocking was charged with numerous counts of Burglary, Larcenies, Criminal Mischief, Theft of Firearms (2 counts), along with numerous counts of Conspiracy to commit Burglaries, Larceny, and Criminal Mischief.

     Stocking is being held on a $575,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Middletown Superior Court on May 18, 2009.

Additional arrests are forthcoming in this investigation.
