                   STATE POLICE MAKE SCHOOL THREATENING ARREST

   On Sunday, March 2nd, State Police from Troop E in Montville received a criminal complaint from a parent of a Grasso Tech School student who reported a threat against the school. The school is located in Grotonand the caller reported observing a video on MYTUBE, which reported acts of violence against the students at the school. The video listed a future date in which these acts of violence were to occur.  

   State Police Detectives from Eastern District Major Crime were assigned to initiate a criminal investigation. As the investigation progressed, a suspect in this incident was developed and identified as Brandon Brown. The suspect was a former student at the Grasso Tech School. Accused Brown was located and interviewed regarding the homemade video that was discovered to which he readily admitted creating. 

   State Police Detectives conducted asearch of Brown’s residence and his computer. Detectives and State Troopers remained at the residence and seized items of evidentiary value implicating the suspect in this incident.

   The accused Brandon Brown was taken into custody by State Police and he was transported to State Police Troop E where he was formally charged with Threatening and Breach of Peace.  The accused was processed at Troop E and released $2,500bond to appear in Superior Court GA #10 New London on 03/17/08 on these charges.
