                          STATE POLICE URBAN TASK FORCE MAKE     

                            NARCOTICS ARRESTS IN NEW HAVEN INVESTIGATION

   State Police Urban Violence Task force working with New Haven Police are continuing to conduct all narcotic investigations in the City of New Haven. The task force is made up of New Haven Police Officers and State Police Undercover Detectives.

   During the evening hours of 11/13/07 the State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force working an extensive investigation with the assistance from the State Police New Haven Narcotics Unit  executed a search and seizure warrant at 147 Lamberton St. in the city of New Haven.

   During this police search of this residence 215 bags of Heroin were seized. An additional police search of a residence located at 16 Wilson St., New Haven led State Police and New Haven Investigators to an additional 280 bags of Heroin.

   

   As a result of this investigation 495 bags of Heroin, approx. $4,800 in cash, and a bullet proof vest were seized.  Accused CRESPO was taken into custody at the scene.

   

ARRESTED: Ricardo Crespo DOB: 02/07/67

                  16 Wilson St., New Haven

CHARGES:  Possession of Narcotics and Possession of Narcotics with intent to Sale. CRESPO was held on a $250,000 bond and will appear in GA #23 New Haven today 11/14/07.

   While undercover narcotics detectives were arriving at the Lamberton Street location on 11/13/07 an exiting police vehicles to serve a search and seizure warrant two suspects who were standing in front of the residence attempted to flee the scene.  Both suspects were apprehended by State Police and New Haven Police narcotics detectives after a brief foot chase. The suspects were found in possession of a loaded a .32 revolver and 3 grams of Crack Cocaine.

                  157 Lampson St., West Haven

CHARGES:  Both suspects were charged with Possession of Narcotics with intent to Sale,    Possession of Narcotics, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. 

   Both suspects were held on a $150,000 bond and will appear in GA #23 New Haven today 11/14/07.
